PNG GOES LOCAL
Cincinnati, OH, July 22, 2004 - PowerNet Global Communications, an integrated communications provider offering voice and data telecommunications and Internet services to business and residential customers, today announced the introduction of local service packages for its residential customers in Missouri.
The company is offering a range of bundled package plans to meet the various local and long distance needs of its nationwide consumer base--from unlimited local and long distance calling plans bundled with popular calling features, to simple local service for those with limited needs but a strong desire for an alternative choice in local providers.
“Despite the recent changes in the UNE-P landscape, PowerNet Global will continue to deliver local service options to our customers,” said Bernie Stevens, President/CEO of PowerNet Global. “In the end, we’re confident that the notion of consumer choice will prevail, whether through Voice over Broadband or other technologies we’re developing. The market will not bear lack of choice in local service, regardless of current legislation.”
The addition of Missouri follows on the heels of the company’s current 16 states, which include Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Washington.
